Programme announced

This year’s theme is Better by Design: Environment, Society & Self and we are delighted to welcome two leading experts in their fields to speak on this topic

Date Published: 18 June 2015

Co-founder and Chair for Dragon Rouge, Dorothy Mackenzie, will be speaking on the evening of Thursday 2nd July.  This will be followed by a drinks reception and networking opportunity in the LICA Foyer.

Founder Director and Trustee of Forum for the Future, Sara Parkin OBE,  will be speaking on Friday 3rd July, followed with selected Design PhD Presentations by recently graduated and senior PhD students who will discuss the PhD process and the use of various research approaches. These talks will demonstrate a wide range of effective approaches to the PhD – from use of qualitative methods to creative, practice-based approaches.

Meanwhile, taking place over both days, the Design PhD Poster Exhibition allows delegates to present their areas of research interest, network with other PhD researchers, and discuss their ideas with academics, researchers, and representatives from the private, public and third sectors. The Poster Exhibition has proven to be an excellent forum for meeting people with similar research interests.
