As Co-Director of ImaginationLancaster and on behalf of everyone in the ImaginationLancaster team, I would like to offer warmest congratulations to our colleague Professor Rachel Cooper on being honoured with an OBE in the 2012 New Year’s Honours List for her services to education.
Among her many achievements and contributions Rachel is President of the European Academy of Design and Editor of The Design Journal – now recognised as one of the leading scholarly design journals in the world. She was also the founder of ImaginationLancaster, and has written numerous books on Design Management as well as dozens of academic papers. For many years Rachel has been a tireless advocate and leader in design education in the UK, Europe and internationally. Her energy and her affirmative outlook are both exemplary and infectious - this honour is richly deserved and we offer her our heartfelt congratulations.
